Angelina Jolie was born in June 4 , 1975, as Angelina Jolie Voight.Born in Los Angeles , California,Jolie is the daughter of actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertand. On her father's side , Jolie is of Czechoslovak and German descent and on her mother's side she is French Canadian.
After her parents seperation in 1976 , Jolie and her brother were raised by their mother , who abandoned her acting ambitions and moved with them to Palisades , New York. As a child , Jolie regularly saw movies with her mother and later explained that this had inspired her interest in acting. When she was eleven years old , her family moved back to Los Angeles and Jolie decided she wanted to act and enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institue , where she trained for two years and appeared in several stage productions.
At the age of 14 , she dropped out of her acting classes and dreamed of becoming a funeral director. During this period, she wore black clothing and dyed her hair purple. Two years later, she rented an apartment above a garage a few blocks from her mother's home.She returned to the theatre studies and graduated from high school. Although in her heart, she still felt like a punk kid with tatoos.
During her time at Beverly Hills High School (and later Moreno High School) , she had a feeling of isolation among the children of some of the area's more rich families. Jolie's mother survived on a modest income , and Jolie often wore second-hand clothes. She was teased by other students who also targeted her for being extremely thin, and for wearing glasses and braces. She felt more useless than ever , when she realized that her initial dream of becoming a model was never going to happen . She began to cut herself. She said , "for some reason , the ritual of having cut myself and feeling the pain , maybe feeling alive , feeling some kind of release, it was somehow therapeutic to me ".Jolie was estranged from her father for many years . The two of them tried to reconcile and he appeared with her in Lara Croft : Tomb Rider (2001). In August , of the same year , Voight claimed that his daughter had "serious mental problems" on Access Hollywood . Angelina Jolie said that she no longer wished to pursue a relationship with her father , and said , " My father and I don't speak . I don't hold any anger towards him ".

Angelina Jolie has not only achieved awards in her acting courier , She is also known as a humanitarian. Angelina Jolie was well aware of worldwide humanitarian crises and had taken action immediately . Jolie became the first person aware of worlwide humanitarian crises while filming Tomb Raider in Cambodia . She eventually turned to UNHCR for more information on international trouble spots. In February 2001 , Jolie went on her first visit , an 18-day misssion to Sierra Leone and Tarzania . She later expressed her shock at what she had witnessed. In the coming months she returned to Cambodia for two weeks and later met with Afghan Refugees in Pakistan where she donated $1 million for Afghan refugees in response to an international UNCHR emergency appeal . The Royal family of SWAT (pricely state) awarded her the honour Khanum Sahiba the equivalent of being made a lady. Jolie was named a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador on August 27 , 2001 at UNCHR headquarters in Geneva.
In 2006 , Jolie and Pitt flew to Haiti and visited a school supported by Ye'le Haiti , a charity founded by Haitian - born hip hop musician Wyclef Jean . When flimming A MIGHTY HEART in India , Jolie met with Afghan and Burmese refugees in New Dehli. She spent Christmas Day with Colombian refugees in San Jose, Costa Rica where she handed out presents . Over time , Jolie became more involved in promoting humanitarian , causes on a political level. She has regularly attented World Refugee Day in Washington , D.C ., and she was an invited speaker at the World Economic Forum in Danvos in 2005 and 2006. Jolie also began lobbying humanitarian interests in the U.S capital where she met the Congress at least 20 times from 2003.
Angelina Jolie is an amazing person. She has not only done humanitarian work but she is also a very well known actress , she ha acted in one of the most famous movies and worked with amazing and talented people. She has won several awards like , in the year 1998 for the Golden Globe Awards and she was Categorized as the BEST Supporting Actress in the movie "George Wallce". She also won an award in the year 2008 for the Screen Actors Guild Award and categorized as the most Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a supporting role in the movie "Girl , Interrupted". Some of the movies she has acted in had been nominated such as the movie "CHANGELING" and "A MIGTHY HEART".
The reason we chose Angelina Jolie as our famous woman personality is quite frankly because she was the first person who came to our mind . However , Angelina Jolie is someone who is very inspirational to us both . Although she was bullied , made fun of because she was different and had to cope with her parent's divorce when she was younger , she went through it with a brave heart and mind. She worked hard to get to where she is now. Her story tells us to never give up and face whatever obstacles in our way. One of the highest paid actress in Hollywood , Angelina does not keep all her money to herself. Living happily with her six children , three of whom were adopted , Angelina has been helping people in need , like setting up campaigns . Although there were issues involving Angelina Jolie that could or could not be true , it is better to see the good in people. My partner and I believe that if we follow the good examples that Angelina Jolie has set , we too can improve ourselves.
